The lightning is fascinating and looks great on a big screen. The thunder is intense. Its as close to a real thunderstorm as you are going to get indoors. Often I run it with just the rain sounds since they are so relaxing.

I have enjoyed tempest and it relaxes me and gets my head clear, much like a real thunderstorm does. I have a 42" LCD screen in 1080p and a very good set of speakers with great bass response, and it looks and sounds so real with everything setup right, that in a real thunderstorm I get this great experience. I recommend trying it with the blinds closed in the room and using a big TV, which gives the effect of watching the storm out of a large window, and good stereo speakers will really make this feel every bit of one amazing thunderstorm! Well worth setting up the equipment for!!

Just turn out the lights, turn up the volume and be prepared for a very cool show... :o)
